I often find that podcasts are a handy way to unwind after a trying day combing through research and writing, and last night’s selection didn’t disappoint.

Wayne “Dub Dub” Turmel’s Cranky Middle Manager Show (hosted by the truly insightful people at Cameron Reilly’s The Podcast Network) is somewhere I make a point of checking out now and again when I’m on the lookout for choice business finds, and I usually never leave wanting. Thanks to Wayne’s humorous past interviews – he’s a former stand-up comedian and a fellow Canuck, I might add — I was fortunate enough to learn about the existence of 800-CEO-READ and the sensational work Todd Sattersten (formerly), Jack Covert, and the whole 8cr Team do for their fans and clients every single day.

Michael Bungay Stanier, another of those “crazy Canucks” and head man at Box of Crayons, was Dub-Dub’s pod guest last night and over the course of this 29m40s show with Wayne, Stanier acquaints us with the triple concepts of:

• bad work.
• good work, and
• great work.

and the wisdom to know the difference.
