MOVIE: The Quiet
Not your typical teen flick or suburban drama, The Quiet is a highly stylized, dark, seedy thiller-cum-dysfunctional family film which easily spans a handful of different genres. While its storyline might disturb you, the obscure cast — save for Edie Falco of The Sopranos — seems to gel together marvellously well. This movie will pull your gut and emotions in opposing directions, to be sure, but trust me when I tell you: you’ll emerge all the more better because of it.
